Gray Area Clothing DC started with Clifton Gray Jr and one idea: most people do not fit neatly into anybody else's category, and their clothes should say so.
Every piece get pressed one at a time, shorts washed, and the frayed tees get sunfaded and cut individually, so no two finishes the same.
The rainbow heart is the mark of that idea. Loud where it counts, honest about the gray in between, and made for people who would rather be themselves than easy to explain.

Gray Area Clothing DC is run by Clifton Gray Jr out of Washington DC. Every piece is designed, pressed, washed, and packed in house, in small runs.
The gray area is the space between who you were told to be and who you actually are. The brand is built for people living in that space and dressing like it.
Tees run boxy and true to size, so size down for a closer fit or stay put for the oversized look. Shorts, leggings, and biker shorts run true to size with a high stretch waist.
The sunfaded, splattered, frayed, and acid washed pieces are finished by hand one at a time, so the fade, splatter, and fray land differently on every unit. The photo shows the style, not the exact piece.
Machine wash cold inside out, no bleach, and hang dry. Heat is what breaks prints down, so keep it out of the dryer and your graphics stay sharp for years.
In stock orders ship from Washington DC within two to three business days. Standard delivery usually lands within three to seven business days across the U.S.
Unworn, unwashed pieces can be exchanged or returned within fourteen days of delivery with tags on. Hand finished one of one pieces are final sale. Email first and we will sort it out.
